Priyanka founded Para in 2019.

Her experiences with Hunnarshala in Kutch, a contemporary architectural practice with Hundred Hands and Dustudio, to hands-on carpentry with Japanese carpenter Kenji in Auroville, all parallelly come together, to form the design language and the palette of Para.

approach+

Our design approach first at an intimate level is guided by the local crafts, artisan skills, traditional knowledge systems and most importantly observing and listening to our surroundings. And then extending this approach to a macro level looking at the local climate, environment and design requirement. Creating a unique design solution that finds harmony and balance among all the different variables.

materials+

Following are the references of the projects Priyanka has designed in collaboration with different studios. This expresses her affinity to natural materials. Para studio stays true to materials and chooses projects that have a desire to do so.

Always exploring.

We love to work with local materials and technologies, using them in contemporary ways. Innovating and experimenting with different materials while keeping strong connection with the overall design.
